While the Master Services Agreement (MSA) between IPHCA and each individual e-net member clearly defines the responsibilities and expense allocations, below is a general overview of the proposed responsibilities as they are currently defined. These are subject to change.
IPHCA Project Responsibilities
- procurement and management of the initial vendor licenses
- vendor negotiations and contract management
- clearinghouse negotiations and contract management
- system hosting, including infrastructure development, support, and maintenance, and back-up and redundancies
- pre-implementation planning, including facilitating clinical content development and work flows
- on-site implementation support
- help desk support to serve as liaison between the e-net member and the vendor, to identify trends in support requests, and to escalate and track vendor issues
- initial and ongoing training
e-net Member Responsibilities
- procuring, installing and implementing internal hardware at the CHC
- connectivity
- participating in planning and implementation activities
Expenses Paid by IPHCA
- contractual subject matter experts
- initial software licenses*
- procurement and installation of all hosting hardware and infrastructure*
- support staff
*Given that IPHCA is able to secure grant funding
Expenses Paid by e-net Members
- site hardware procurement, installation, and/or upgrades needed
- data conversion
- clearinghouse processing
- connectivity
- quarterly MSA fees, which cover
- software license maintenance
- continued support of IPHCA staff resources
- hosting hardware and infrastructure maintenance and ongoing support
- software upgrades and enhancements
